When the song of the angels is stilled,
When the star in the sky is gone,
When the kings and princes are home,
When the shepherds are back with their flock,

The work of Christmas begins:

To find the lost,
To heal the broken,
To feed the hungry,
To release the prisoner,
To rebuild the nations,
To bring peace among people,
To make music in the heart.

See you in church.

HOLY NAME OF JESUS (January 1) This is the day we honor the holy name of Jesus,  remembering the admonition 'At the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow.'

THE EPIPHANY (January 6) The Epiphany celebrates the showing of the Messiah to the Gentiles in the persons of the Magi, signifying that He came for all, not just the Jews.  It occurred about two years after the birth of Christ.

CONFESSION OF ST. PETER (January 18) This day commemorates the confession St. Peter made when he said of Jesus 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.'

CONVERSION OF ST. PAUL (January 25) Paul originally persecuted the Christians, and was so zealous about it that he obtained a letter allowing him to search out and arrest them wherever he could find them.  However, God had other plans for him.  He appeared to Paul as a bright light and Paul was convinced that this Jesus was really the Son of God.  He then became the most ardent advocate for the new faith.
