1) Letter from Prov. Bishop Caldwell requesting dates be submitted for annual Visitation. We have chosen 3 dates to submit, Sept. 11, Sept 25, and Oct 2. The Standing Committee should be ready to start moving on the offer packages from churches searching for Priests now that the Bishop Provisional is installed.
*Leak in the kitchen: Several companies have been contacted regarding the roof and the kitchen leak. Gateway is coming but everyone is backed up due to rain. Estimated cost? We will check with the insurance.
*In preparation for our new Priest, we are looking at sprucing up.
*Discussion about adding to the bulletins a list of those who are in the hospital, possibly adding additional items to the newsletter like member biographies.
*Physical updates for the church: Julia and her girls are going to undertake the repainting of the downstairs hall and current office. We will ask parishioners to come assist with various jobs in preparation for interviewing for the Priest position. *We also voted to relocate the Priests office to the Parlor upstairs. The room is under-utilized, and is the most nicely decorated room in the church. There are plenty of outlets, we have wi-fi so connectivity is not an issue. We can paint and redo the current office as a meeting room/dress the bride/ group counseling room. Julia and Cynthia are going to get volunteers to help move the furniture and get things set up.
*Jennifer and Tony Walker are moving to Georgia. Jennifer’s position will be open on the Vestry, however, the Vestry handbook states we are not required to replace her until Annual Meeting. We voted to wait until then.
*Suggestions for gatherings off campus, in homes: maybe legends games, or cook outs, a trip to the Aquarium, hiking, day trip to Bardstown/maybe the Stephen Foster Story, movie night. Janet White offered to host a church gathering at her farm. She has a lake, hiking, etc.
*Ale 8 machine: the Ale 8 machine is owned by the church. There are folks interested in purchasing it, and Julia will see what the machine might be worth. This might help us complete the Fan fund, possibly do a few updates in the parish hall (painting).
*Continue to table discussions concerning child care and financial suggestions until we have a priest
DAUGHTERS OF THE KING
The Daughters of the King will hold their regular meeting on July 3 after church. All Daughters and anyone interested in finding out more about the order are welcome to attend.
TRIPLE BLESSING PROGRAM
Thanks to everyone who brought items for the month of June. For July, we are asking people to bring large paper plates, toilet paper, large white trash bags, paper towels, coffee (Maxwell House or Folgers).
