From The Editor
"For behold, darkness covers the land; deep gloom enshrouds the peoples."
Not a very pleasant thought but in ways, it signifies Lent. We are to repent our sinful thoughts and deeds, and they are many. C. S. Lewis stated that if he pledged to give his will over to God when he got up in the morning, he had broken that pledge before he was finished shaving. So it is gloomy to repent of all of our sins and offenses. But there is more.
"But over you the Lord will rise, and His glory will appear upon you."
This is the promise of Easter. The darkness is dissipated and the light bathes us all. It is a sure and certain promise we receive every year, and we will rejoice in it.
See you in church.
